Topic: Children, Kids, Evangelism, Gospel, Great Commission Scripture: Psalm 67:1–10

Did you know that God’s plan was always to announce His kingdom to the world?

Psalm 67 is a harvest psalm, a song of thankfulness to God for giving the people a bountiful harvest. The Festival of Harvest became know, eventually, as Pentecost because it was also associated with the deliverance of Israel from Egypt and the giving of the Mosaic Law, thought to have been given fifty days after leaving Egypt.

Possibly this psalm would have been sung and used in the worship celebrations of the Feast of the Harvest and later in the Festival of Pentecost. Perhaps it is in this very psalm we begin to see the merging of these two emphases.
